Free server transfers are back

For the next week, server transfers to any server with a medium population (this means FC, ET, and maybe one other on the US side of things) will be free.

Looks like it might be time to step up the recruiting on the main forums and anywhere else...see if we can pick up some good people for WvW.

This is...weird. Is this thread the only place they are mentioning the free transfers? Why aren't servers mentioned by name? What if this is just some guy going off the reservation? OMG so many questions!

Anyway - this could be a really exciting thing for us, or it could backfire horribly and end with our competition getting an influx of new people to stomp our faces. Which I guess is exciting...in a different sort of way?

From looking at that thread, it doesn't look like this particular guild is on the table for FC, or any of the tier 7-8 servers. But that doesn't mean other guilds or just individuals wouldn't be interested in coming over! I feel it would be helpful to be able to present a unified front to potential transfers, though. Any chance we could stuff the vanishing minority of drama whores into a basement for a week or two? Or forever?

It's in the patch notes as well... and Colin Johanson is a pretty important dude at ArenaNet. The stuff he says is pretty much gospel.

Closeting drama whores...probably should be a game all by itself.

alot of the time tho FC is labeled as a high pop server, only at the wee hours of the morning is it labeled medium. i also think that this may do more harm to the server because now that transfers to med are free ppl are gonna leave this sad server to bandwagon somewhere else =/

I'm hoping that the bandwagon people are all long gone, and things like this will help us more than hurt us. I guess we'll find out.

I am hoping they help as well. I know lukian is coming back maybe test will follow him from his guild who knows.
